East Burke resident dies following early morning crash on I-91

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 61-year-old man from East Burke was killed following a single-vehicle crash on I-91 in St. Johnsbury early this morning.

Emergency workers responded at around 6:30 a.m. to a vehicle on its side with entrapment.

Police say Donald Burrington was pronounced deceased on arrival.

Witnesses told police the vehicle traveled across the interstate and into the median, then came back onto the roadway for a short time before going back into the median and rolling onto the passenger side.

According to the report, Burrington may have suffered some type of medical event prior to the vehicle crashing.

Members of the St Johnsbury Fire Department as well as Calex ambulance responded to the scene.
