MORGAN — A 72-year-old Island Pond man escaped uninjured after a car crash in Morgan on Monday sent his vehicle into Seymour Lake.

The incident took place at the intersection of Vermont Route 111 and Valley Road at around 6:30 p.m.

According to the report, Rosaire Marcoux was attempting to turn left on Route 111, when he pulled too far up and out into traffic.

David Howe, 73, of New Hampshire, told police that he slammed on the brakes and steered away from Marcoux, however, he was not able to avoid the collision.
