Police: 15 mailboxes smashed in Morgan

MORGAN — Police say that they are investigating reports of several mailboxes being vandalized in Morgan early this morning.

The incidents took place on Toad Pond Road, sometime around 3 a.m.

A total of fifteen separate mailboxes were smashed with what police say appears to be a baseball bat.  

Some mailboxes were completely destroyed, while others received only minor damage.  

Damaging, destroying or tampering with mailboxes is a federal crime, punishable by a fine and up to three years of imprisonment.
