MARCELLUS, NY — Two tractor trailers collided near the intersection of Route 20 and Williams Road early Thursday morning.
The Marcellus Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 12:33 a.m.
Chief Rothery arrived first and found one tractor trailer in a ditch and the other in the middle of the roadway.
One of the tractor trailers was leaking a large amount of diesel fuel from a ruptured saddle tank.
Firefighters placed speedy dry and sorbent dams to contain the spill.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation spill response team was requested to the scene.
Marcellus Ambulance provided patient care.
Rescue 1, commanded by FF Hullihen, responded along with Assistant Chief Mayers and Captain Mathieson.
