WIND GAP, PA — A 32-year-old woman faces multiple drug charges following a traffic stop on New Year’s Eve.
Breanna Nicole Miller of Wind Gap was arrested after police conducted a traffic stop at approximately 1 a.m. Dec. 31 in the area of Sullivan Trail and East Moorestown Road for equipment violations.
During the stop, officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to police.
K9 Zorro was deployed to conduct an exterior sniff of the Honda sedan and provided a positive alert to the odor of drugs within the vehicle.
Police obtained consent to search the vehicle, which led to the seizure of methamphetamine, alprazolam, marijuana, related paraphernalia and a large amount of U.S. currency.
The methamphetamine was packaged in multiple different baggies consistent with the sales of narcotics, police said.
Miller was taken into custody at approximately 3:03 a.m. March 9 during a traffic stop by Bushkill Township Police, and custody was turned over to Slate Belt Regional.
She is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and various traffic offenses.
