LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP, NJ — Officers from the Long Beach Township Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop in the Holgate section on Saturday.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Alizai Smith, 24, of Horsham, Pennsylvania, and the passenger, Ly Phu, 29, of Philadelphia.
Both were charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Phu was also charged with hindering apprehension.
Smith and Phu were processed and transported to Ocean County Jail where they were lodged pending a detention hearing.
