LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP, NJ — Officers from the Long Beach Township Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of 115th Street and Long Beach Boulevard on Tuesday.
The Long Beach Township K-9 Unit assisted with the stop.
Further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, David Michel, 64, of Manahawkin, for possession of cocaine, possession of prescription narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The passenger, Zachary Abbot, 32, of Manahawkin, was also arrested for a warrant out of Atlantic County.
Abbot was processed and transported to Ocean County Jail where he was lodged.
Michel was processed and released pending a future court date.
