PITTSBURGH, PA — A Mt. Oliver man wanted on probation violations and new theft charges was arrested this morning after deputies found him hiding in a residence.
Johnny Foster, 39, was taken into custody at 9 a.m. at a home on Rustic Avenue, according to Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus.
Foster had been a fugitive for two months after bench warrants were issued for probation violations on four separate cases.
Three of the cases involved guilty pleas to burglary charges, while a fourth case involved a guilty plea to receiving stolen property.
Foster was also charged in two retail theft cases in February.
The first incident occurred at Dick’s Sporting Goods in South Hills Village, where he attempted to steal more than $800 worth of merchandise.
The second incident occurred at Kohl’s in Ross Township, where he stole more than $500 worth of goods.
Sheriff’s detectives developed information this week that Foster was inside the Rustic Avenue residence.
Once on scene, detectives confirmed Foster was inside and gained entry to the home.
Foster was found hiding underneath a table and was arrested without incident.
He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
