COVENTRY — A Coventry man was arrested early Sunday morning on aggravated assault charges after allegedly attacking two people with a weapon.
Vermont State Police Derby barracks responded to a report of an assault on Natural Hill Road in Coventry at 12:16 a.m. on March 1.
Investigation revealed that Gary Guyette Jr., 38, of Coventry, assaulted multiple people causing serious bodily injury with a weapon. Guyette was also found to be in violation of active court-ordered conditions of release.
The victims were identified as a 21-year-old man from Newport, and an 18-year-old man from Brighton.
Guyette was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Derby barracks for processing. He was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and violations of conditions of release.
Guyette was ordered held without bail at Northern State Correctional Facility and was cited to appear at Orleans County Superior Court this afternoon.
