Man arrested on hit-and-run charge in West Greenwich

WEST GREENWICH, RI — State Police arrested a West Greenwich man on a hit-and-run charge Tuesday afternoon.

Troopers arrested Scott Chase, 60, of West Greenwich at 2:43 p.m. for duty to stop for an accident resulting in damage to attended vehicle.

The arrest was the result of a be-on-the-lookout alert from West Greenwich Police Department.

Troopers located the vehicle on New London Turnpike in West Greenwich.

Chase was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.

He was later released with a future Third District Court date.

In a separate incident, troopers arrested Lee Bromley, 60, of Exeter at 4:50 p.m. on three warrants.

Bromley was arrested on a Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of indecent solicitation of a child out of the West Greenwich Police Department.

He also was arrested on a Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of possession of Schedule I-V out of the West Greenwich Police Department.

Bromley was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear for pretrial conference on the original charge of driving with suspended license out of the West Greenwich Police Department.

The arrest was the result of troopers conducting a warrant check at a Hog House Hill Road residence in Exeter.

Bromley was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions.
