UNADILLA, NY — Two people were arrested Thursday following a shoplifting investigation at a local business.
Robert L. Colvin, 41, of Unadilla, was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, petit larceny and conspiracy in the sixth degree.
Ashley M. Stanton, 41, of Unadilla, was charged with petit larceny and conspiracy in the sixth degree.
The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office said the defendants acted together to shoplift alcohol from a business in the town of Unadilla.
Investigation revealed that Colvin was prohibited from contact with Stanton by court order.
The defendants were located in the city of Oneonta and taken into custody without incident.
Stanton was processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Unadilla Court at a later date.
Colvin was processed and lodged in the Otsego County Correctional Facility to await centralized arraignment.
The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the New York State Department of Corrections and the Oneonta Police Department.
