TOMS RIVER, NJ — Five Ocean County residents face narcotics distribution and weapons charges following a multi-agency investigation into illegal drug activity in the area.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force collaborated with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets Task Force-Red Bank, Toms River Township Police Department Emergency Services Unit, Toms River Township Police Department K-9 Unit, Toms River Township Police Department Special Enforcement Team, Berkeley Township Police Department, Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit, and Brick Township Police Department Special Emergency Response Team to conduct the investigation.
The investigation identified two residences and a hotel room in Toms River, as well as a residence in Brick Township, as being used by Tyrese Lett, 25, Kylah Parks, 28, and Rameek Peace, 38, all of Toms River, and Kyle Murrin, 39, of Brick Township, to store and distribute illegal narcotics in Ocean County.
On Feb. 19, 2026, detectives established surveillance on the residences and hotel room in Toms River and the residence in Brick Township.
Detectives observed a motor vehicle operated by Lett with Parks as a passenger traveling in the Lakehurst area.
Detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop and Lett and Parks were taken into custody without incident.
Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force and Ocean County Regional SWAT Team executed court-authorized search warrants on Lett’s motor vehicle and the hotel room in Toms River.
Detectives seized 49 grams of cocaine, 70 grams of crack cocaine, 16 bricks of heroin, morphine pills, alprazolam pills, oxycodone pills, drug paraphernalia, and approximately $25,000 in United States currency.
On the same date, detectives observed Peace leave his residence in Toms River and walking in the area of Route 37 where he was taken into custody without incident.
The Toms River Township Police Department Emergency Services Unit executed a court-authorized search warrant on the two residences in Toms River.
Detectives seized a Keltec 9mm firearm.
Also found at the residence was Moises Martinez, 36, of Toms River.
Martinez was taken into custody without incident and charged with being a certain person not to possess a firearm.
Martinez was transported to the Ocean County Jail where he is lodged pending a detention hearing.
On Feb. 19, 2026, detectives and officers assigned to the Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit executed a court-authorized search warrant on the residence in Brick Township.
Law enforcement seized 20 grams of codeine, hydrocodone pills, and drug paraphernalia indicative of narcotics distribution.
Murrin, who was present at the residence, was taken into custody without incident.
Lett was charged with possession of five ounces or more of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of more than one-half ounce but less than five ounces of heroin with intent to distribute, conspiracy to possess five ounces or more of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of oxycodone, possession of morphine, possession of alprazolam, possession of amphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, and financial facilitation.
Lett was transported to the Ocean County Jail where he is lodged pending a detention hearing.
Parks was charged with possession of five ounces or more of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of more than one-half ounce but less than five ounces of heroin with intent to distribute, conspiracy to possess five ounces or more of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of oxycodone, possession of morphine, possession of alprazolam, possession of amphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, and financial facilitation.
Parks was transported to the Ocean County Jail and subsequently released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.
Peace was charged with distribution of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, conspiracy to possess five ounces or more of cocaine with intent to distribute, and being a certain person not to possess a weapon.
