JAMESTOWN, NY — Two people were arrested after a reported handgun incident on the southside of the city Sunday afternoon.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon responded to a residence at around 3:29 p.m. for a reported person with a handgun.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a victim and two suspects identified as Kevin A. Garcia-Maldonado and Tasia M. Davey.
Through investigation, police determined Garcia-Maldonado menaced the victim with a handgun during a verbal argument.
Police also determined Davey made physical threats of harm to the victim.
Officers recovered a Taurus 9mm handgun from the scene.
Police determined Garcia-Maldonado did not possess a valid New York State pistol permit.
Garcia-Maldonado was charged with criminal possession of a firearm and menacing in the second degree.
Davey was charged with harassment in the second degree.
Both were held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
