Man arrested on multiple felony charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested after allegedly firing a gun near a police officer and a victim during a domestic dispute on Feb. 19, 2026.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a north side address at about 8:57 p.m. for a domestic dispute.

Officers observed Thomas J. Didomenico inside the house with the victim.

Officers knew there to be a valid Stay Away Order of Protection against Didomenico for the victim.

Didomenico yelled at officers and walked away.

Didomenico then walked outside with a loaded firearm where an officer and the victim were located.

Didomenico fired a round in proximity to the officer and victim.

He then proceeded to point the firearm in the direction of an officer.

Didomenico dropped the firearm as additional officers arrived.

He was placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Through investigation, officers learned that Didomenico caused extensive damage within the house.

Didomenico is charged with Criminal Contempt 1st Degree, Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, two counts of Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree, Menacing a Police Officer and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree.

Didomenico was held pending his arraignment in Jamestown City Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail.
