Juvenile charged with reckless endangerment in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A 17-year-old male was arrested after allegedly attempting to strike another person with a vehicle on the northern side of the city.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 1st Platoon responded to the scene at approximately 11:12 a.m. on Feb. 20, 2026.

Upon arrival, officers located evidence consistent with the victim’s account of the incident.

Police made contact with the suspect and conducted a show-up identification.

The victim positively identified the juvenile as the operator of the vehicle involved in the incident.

The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown Juvenile Bureau.

He was charged with Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree and issued an appearance ticket for Youth Part Court.

The juvenile was released to a parent and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
