Man arrested on assault charge in Palmer

PALMER, PA — Police arrested a man accused of assaulting his son-in-law at a residence Sunday afternoon.

Samuel Charles Imboden, 61, of Pennsylvania, was taken into custody without incident following the reported assault at 2725 Liberty Street.

Palmer Township Police responded to the address at 1:15 p.m. for an assault report.

Officers spoke with a male victim who was waiting outside the residence.

The victim told police he was assaulted by his father-in-law and had visible injuries to his facial area.

Further investigation confirmed a physical altercation occurred inside the residence.

Imboden was transported to the Palmer Township Police Department for processing.

He was charged with simple assault and harassment.

Imboden was later arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Corpora and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
