Two men arrested in stolen ATV case in Hebron

HEBRON, NY — Two men were arrested following an investigation into a stolen ATV taken from the Village of Whitehall, according to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy.

Investigators located the ATV at a residence on Indian Head Way in the Town of Hebron and confirmed it had been reported stolen.

The ATV was recovered and secured as evidence.

Earl K. Vanguilder Jr., 31, of Hebron, and Cody D. Tracy, 32, of West Pawlet, were each charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree.

Vanguilder was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Hebron Town Court.

Tracy was arraigned and remanded to the Washington County Jail on unrelated charges.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Investigations and Road Patrol Divisions handled the case with assistance from the New York State Police.
