HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — A Pennsylvania man turned himself in to police nearly a year after allegedly stealing more than $1,000 worth of cosmetics from a local pharmacy.
Kurt K. Hyman, 40, of Pennsylvania, surrendered at the Lower Moreland Police station on Tuesday.
Police said the retail theft occurred at the CVS Pharmacy at 670 Welsh Road on March 20 at approximately 3:40 p.m.
A man wearing dark-colored pants and a denim jacket entered the store and took a large quantity of cosmetic items from the cosmetic section, according to police.
The items were placed in a red Target bag before the man left the store without paying, police said.
The stolen items totaled over $1,000.
After an investigation, police identified Hyman as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.
Hyman is charged with one count of retail theft.
