Two arrested on shoplifting charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — Two people were arrested on shoplifting charges after police responded to a theft at a south side business on Feb. 18, 2026.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department 2nd Platoon responded to the scene at about 3 p.m.

A store employee reported that a white male with a grey beard, blue hoodie and camo pants entered the store and stole a 12-pack of Pepsi and an Everyday Essentials makeup set before fleeing.

Officers located a male matching the description in the area.

The male was identified as Michael Pacheco.

Pacheco was with Amy Robbins, who was holding a 12-pack of Pepsi and drinking a can.

Pacheco was identified as the shoplifter.

Officers arrested both Pacheco and Robbins.

During a search of their property, officers found Pacheco in possession of the stolen makeup set.

Pacheco and Robbins were transported to the Jamestown City Jail and held overnight pending arraignment.

Robbins is charged with one count of criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree and criminal mischief in the fourth degree.

Pacheco is charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree.
