BENSALEM, PA — A New Jersey man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to lure who he believed was a 13-year-old girl for sexual purposes.
Justin Orio, 35, of Oaklyn, New Jersey, started a conversation on a social media and dating app on Nov. 30 with a female he believed to be 13 years old and attending middle school.
During the initial conversation, he asked her if she was a virgin and asked her to send photos of herself, according to police.
The conversation continued for a few days before gradually coming to an end.
On Dec. 29, Orio again reached out to the juvenile and asked her if she “wanted to come out” and to come over to his house to “hook up,” police said.
He then described the sexual acts that he planned with her in graphic detail.
He also told her that he would come to her house in Bensalem to pick her up and take her back to his residence in New Jersey.
He asked her for photographs of her nude breasts and assured her that she wouldn’t get in trouble and that her mother would never find out, according to police.
No juvenile was ever in danger during this investigation.
Orio was contacted by Bensalem detectives and admitted to being the person who had been messaging the juvenile female.
An arrest warrant was issued, and on Wednesday, Orio turned himself in at the Bensalem Township Police Department.
Orio was charged with unlawful contact with a minor, sexual abuse of children and related charges.
He was arraigned by District Justice Joseph Falcone and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $750,000 bail.
