SWIFTWATER, PA — A 46-year-old man was arrested on drunken driving charges after police found him asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle early Saturday morning.
An officer with the Pocono Township Police Department was on patrol on State Route 611 near the Pocono Brewing Company at approximately 4:10 a.m. on Jan. 18, 2026, when they observed a vehicle stopped on the side of the road with its hazards and brake lights on.
The officer observed a male, later identified as Paul Lim of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, sleeping in the driver’s seat with the vehicle still in drive.
A DUI investigation was conducted at the scene where Lim showed signs of impairment.
Lim was taken to the Monroe County DUI Center where he consented to a blood draw.
Lim’s blood alcohol level at the time of contact was well above the legal limit.
Lim has been charged with DUI general impairment and DUI high rate of alcohol.
