WEST SENECA, NY — A 31-year-old Depew woman was arrested for drunk driving following a single-car accident on Clinton Street.
Police responded to the scene where a vehicle had ended up in a snowbank.
While officers were investigating, the female passenger became uncooperative and left the scene in an Uber.
A short time later, as a tow truck was attempting to load the vehicle, another car pulled up in front of the tow.
The female passenger exited the driver’s seat and began walking toward the crash scene, saying she was there to check on the driver.
Officers observed her to be staggering with slurred speech and other signs of impairment.
She failed field sobriety testing and tested positive for alcohol on a preliminary breath test.
She was charged with DWI.
