POTTER, NY — A Rushville woman was arrested on drunken driving charges following a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening.
Joanne M. Tober, 66, of Rushville, was taken into custody after deputies responded to West Swamp Road at Ferguson Corners Road at approximately 7:35 p.m.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, Tober failed to navigate a turn, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and enter a snow-covered ditch.
Deputies said Tober showed multiple signs of intoxication at the scene.
She was charged with driving while intoxicated, moved from lane unsafely, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and unsafe tire.
Tober was transported to the Yates County Jail, where she will await the next session of Yates County CAP Court.
