HALFMOON, NY — State Police arrested a Schenectady man on multiple felony charges following a disturbance at a residence on Lakeview Drive.
Reginald L. Doston, 50, of Schenectady, was taken into custody Feb. 4, 2026, by State Police from Clifton Park with assistance from the Schenectady Police Department.
Troopers responded to the disturbance at about 2:49 p.m. Feb. 3, 2026.
The investigation determined Doston allegedly entered the home of a victim known to him without their knowledge or permission while they were not there.
The victim returned home and discovered Doston inside.
Doston refused to leave after being told multiple times, and a physical altercation ensued, during which Doston caused injuries to the victim, police said.
During the altercation, Doston also allegedly damaged property belonging to the victim.
The victim fled the residence in a vehicle and Doston followed them in his vehicle until they were able to evade him and contact law enforcement, according to police.
Doston was charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony; second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony; third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony; second-degree assault, a class D felony; second-degree menacing, a class A misdemeanor; and criminal obstruction of breathing, a class A misdemeanor.
He was transported to State Police barracks in Clifton Park for processing.
Doston was arraigned at Halfmoon Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.
