Man arrested on forgery charge in Old Lycoming Township

OLD LYOMING TOWNSHIP, PA — A man was arrested after allegedly attempting to use a counterfeit $100 bill at a convenience store.

Noah Thomas Daniels, 30, of Pennsylvania, was charged with forgery following an incident at the 7-Eleven located at 1601 Dewey Avenue.

Lycoming Regional Police Department were advised of a fraud incident at the store on Jan. 22.

Store staff reported that a male had attempted to load money onto a betting application using a counterfeit $100 bill.

The bill displayed the word “COPY” and failed a counterfeit-detector pen test.

The male fled the store before the transaction was completed.

Daniels admitted to police that he knew the $100 bill was counterfeit.

Daniels self-surrendered and was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge William Solomon.

He was released on $15,000 bail.
