Man arrested on contraband charge in Fort Edward

FORT EDWARD, NY — A man was arrested on a felony charge after an investigation found he possessed dangerous contraband while incarcerated at the Washington County Jail, according to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy.

Kristopher R. Bradford, 44, of Delmar, was charged with possessing dangerous prison contraband in the first degree, a class D felony.

The investigation determined that Bradford, who was being held at the jail on a burglary charge, possessed contraband considered dangerous to staff and inmates at the facility.

Bradford was arraigned in centralized arraignment.

He will appear in the Town of Fort Edward Court at a later date.
