PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A 27-year-old woman faces multiple charges after allegedly driving impaired and refusing to comply with a court-ordered blood test early Friday.

Gabrielle L. Bentzoni, of Pennsylvania, was arrested at approximately 12:31 a.m. on November 21 in the 800 block of West Pennsylvania Avenue.

An officer on patrol observed a vehicle following another too closely, according to police.

The officer followed the vehicle and observed it swerving over the center double yellow lines multiple times, prompting a traffic stop.

The officer made contact with the driver, identified as Bentzoni, and observed signs of possible impairment while speaking with her.

After completing standardized field sobriety testing, additional signs of impairment were observed and Bentzoni was placed under arrest for DUI, police said.

Bentzoni was requested to submit to a chemical blood test, which she refused to do.

The officer then obtained a search warrant from a district magistrate to secure a sample of Bentzoni’s blood for testing.

Upon being served with the search warrant, Bentzoni refused to cooperate and refused to provide a blood sample despite being served with a valid warrant, according to police.

Bentzoni was charged with DUI general impairment, obstructing administration of law or other government function, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and various traffic offenses.

Charges were filed through district court.
