Man smashes display case at jewelry store in Trumbull

TRUMBULL, CT — Two masked suspects smashed a glass display case at a jewelry store in the Trumbull Mall on Sunday and fled with an undetermined amount of merchandise, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m. at Banter by Piercing Pagoda, according to the Trumbull Police Department.

The suspects were wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts and used tools to break the display case, police said.

The two suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction off the mall property.

No one was hurt or threatened during the incident, police said.
