ROSENDALE, NY — A Poughkeepsie man was arrested following a traffic stop on Jan. 5, 2026.
Christopher Fryar, 23, of Poughkeepsie, was stopped for a traffic offense, according to the Rosendale Police Department.
Based on an investigation conducted at the scene, Fryar was charged with operating without a license, a violation; uninspected motor vehicle, a violation; using cannabis in a motor vehicle on highway, a violation; and criminal impersonation in the second degree, a misdemeanor.
Police also discovered Fryar had removed an ankle monitoring device from Dutchess County Probation, who declined prosecution.
Fryar was released on an appearance ticket to reappear in the Town of Rosendale Court at a later date.
