BETHEL, VT — A traffic stop early Friday morning led to two arrests on drug and warrant charges.
Corporal Craig Watrous of the Windsor County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on South Main Street at approximately 12:45 a.m. for an observed traffic violation.
Signs of criminal activity were observed, and members of the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks responded to assist.
Andrea Gilbert, 36, of Hartford, was arrested for possession of crack cocaine greater than 2.5 grams.
Donald Severance, 40, of Lebanon, was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for leaving the scene of an accident and negligent operation.
Both were transported to the Royalton State Police Barracks for processing.
Gilbert was issued a citation to appear in Windsor Criminal Court on March 10 at 8:30 a.m. and released.
Severance was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of bail on his warrant.
He is scheduled to appear in Windsor Criminal Court on Jan. 12 at 12:30 p.m.
