UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ — Upper Saddle River police made several arrests in December on charges ranging from assault to fraud.
On Dec. 7 at 1:39 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting a physical altercation.
An investigation revealed injuries from the incident, and a 67-year-old resident was arrested and charged with simple assault resulting in bodily injury.
The resident was later released on a complaint summons.
On Dec. 9 at 4:26 p.m., a 21-year-old Belvidere man was charged with cyber harassment after a resident reported ongoing harassing communications.
The man was served with a criminal complaint following an investigation.
Later that day at 9:49 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop that led to the arrest of a 61-year-old resident.
Police discovered the driver had provided false identifying information and had a suspended New Jersey license and multiple active warrants.
The resident was charged with hindering apprehension, issued multiple motor vehicle summonses, and released.
On Dec. 23, a 49-year-old Aston, Pennsylvania man was charged with theft by deception, impersonation and credit card fraud.
An investigation determined the man misrepresented himself while operating a business, failed to provide contracted services and unlawfully used a victim’s credit card.
A complaint summons was mailed to his last known address.
On Dec. 31 at 4:26 p.m., a 55-year-old resident was charged with harassment following reports of numerous harassing emails and phone calls.
