WEST HARTFORD, CT — A Bloomfield man faces multiple weapons and drug charges following a traffic stop on New Park Avenue.
Officers Bobrowiecki and Gagliardi of the West Hartford Police Department Patrol Division stopped a vehicle in the area of 456 New Park Avenue on the evening of Jan. 6, 2026.
During the stop, officers found a Glock 17 Gen 5 handgun equipped with a “Glock switch,” a Smith & Wesson M&P .380 Shield, an extended magazine containing 32 rounds, and approximately 146.85 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle.
The operator, Sayvon Brown of Bloomfield, was arrested and charged with possession of a high-capacity magazine, two counts of illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, two counts of illegal possession of an assault weapon, carrying a pistol without a permit, possession with the intent to sell, possession of cannabis over 5 ounces, use of drug paraphernalia, tinted windows and substantially obscured number plate.
