BELLOWS FALLS, VT — A New Hampshire man surrendered to authorities Tuesday on charges stemming from a sexual assault investigation that began last summer.
Ryan J. Etheze, 35, of Raymond, New Hampshire, faces charges of attempted sexual assault without consent, aggravated assault and lewd and lascivious conduct.
The Windham County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Etheze in July after receiving a report that he attempted to sexually assault a female on Rockingham Street.
A detective applied for and was granted an arrest warrant for Etheze in October.
Over the course of several months, the Windham County Sheriff’s Office attempted to locate Etheze with the assistance of law enforcement agencies in Vermont and New Hampshire.
Etheze surrendered to deputies Tuesday and was held without bail at the Southern State Correctional Facility.
He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday at 1 p.m.
The Windham County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office, the Bellows Falls Police Department, and the Bow and Raymond police departments in New Hampshire.
