Woman arrested on child endangerment charge in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman was arrested early Jan. 6, 2026, after police responded to a domestic dispute involving a knife.

Officers from the Third Platoon of the Jamestown Police Department were called to a northside address at about 3 a.m. for a report of an in-progress domestic dispute.

Police said the incident involved a knife.

Through investigation, officers determined that Samantha A. Omeruo waved a knife around while a juvenile was in close proximity.

Omeruo was arrested on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

She is being held pending arraignment.
