Two arrested after traffic stop in Bethel

BETHEL, VT — A traffic stop on Sand Hill Road led to two arrests on drug and warrant charges early Friday morning.

Deputy Craig Watrous attempted to stop a vehicle at approximately 11:36 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Peavine Boulevard and Sand Hill Road for a motor vehicle violation.

The vehicle initially failed to stop for lights and sirens but eventually pulled over on Sand Hill Road.

Members of the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks responded to assist with an investigation.

Christopher Bly, 40, of Randolph, was arrested for possession of cocaine and possession of methamphetamine.

Jasmine Brown, 22, of Royalton, was arrested on two outstanding arrest warrants for violating conditions of release and simple assault of a protected professional with bodily injury.

Both were transported to the Royalton State Police Barracks for processing.

Bly was issued a citation to appear in Windsor Court on March 10 at 8:30 a.m. and released.

Brown was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
