ROCKAWAY, NJ — White Meadow Lake Fire Company #5 and other units responded to a vehicle fire on Route 80 westbound Saturday evening near mile marker 36.
Headquarters dispatched Companies 4 and 5 along with chiefs at approximately 8:40 p.m. on December 27, 2025.
Chief 1 arrived on scene and confirmed a working pickup truck fire. Engine 51 arrived shortly after and stretched a handline to extinguish the fire, which was quickly brought under control.
No injuries were reported.
Units responding included Engine 51, Engine 52 and Chief 1.
