JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman was arrested after allegedly interfering with emergency responders attempting to treat an injured person.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon responded to an address on the east side of the city Dec. 28 for a report of a disorderly female.

Upon arrival, officers and members of Alstar EMS were attempting to render aid to a female with a self-inflicted hand laceration.

Darieli Rodriguez, 34, of Jamestown, got into the faces of officers and EMS crew multiple times, yelling and demanding they get away from the female needing assistance, police said.

Rodriguez attempted to push the EMS crew away from the other female and attempted to pull the female away from EMS, according to police.

After being advised to walk away multiple times, Rodriguez refused to obey orders, police said.

She was placed into custody and charged with obstructing governmental administration in the second degree.

Rodriguez was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where she was processed and released.
