Woman arrested on aggravated harassment charge in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, NY — A 41-year-old woman was arrested Dec. 19 after allegedly threatening staff at a business in the Town of Jerusalem.

Crystal Folami, 41, of Penn Yan, was charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree and harassment in the second degree, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the business at 12:30 p.m. for a report of a female threatening staff.

Investigation revealed that Folami made threats to staff over the phone and then showed up in person and continued to threaten staff, according to authorities.

Folami was stopped by Penn Yan Police officers in the village and turned over to deputies.

She was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Jerusalem Town Court at a later date.
