JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman was arrested on a drug charge following a traffic stop on the city’s west side.
Officers assigned to the Jamestown Police Department’s Third Platoon observed a vehicle commit a moving violation at approximately 11:54 p.m. Dec. 20.
A vehicle stop was executed shortly after.
An investigation determined that the operator was in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine.
Jamie Nixon, 41, of Jamestown, was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident.
Nixon was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
She was booked and released in accordance with New York State bail reform laws.
Nixon was also issued a uniform traffic ticket prior to release.
