BARTON, VT — Vermont State Police have cited a local gas station employee for embezzlement after an investigation revealed missing funds.
Bryce King, 24, of Barton, is accused of stealing approximately $5,000 from Circle K at 252 Main St. over a three-month period.
Police began investigating King on Nov. 18 after coworkers noticed missing funds.
King was an employee at the gas station at the time of the alleged thefts.
King was issued a citation on Dec. 18.
He is scheduled to appear at Orleans County Superior Court on Feb. 17, 2026, to answer to the embezzlement charge.
