Man arrested on assault, weapon charges in Lakehurst

LAKEHURST, NJ — A Manchester man was arrested Friday after police responded to a fight involving a weapon on Cedar Street.

Noah Jackson, 22, of Manchester, was taken into custody following the incident that occurred at approximately 10:19 a.m. Dec. 19.

Officer Sean Phillips responded to the area of Cedar Street and made contact with two involved parties.

During the investigation, officers encountered Jackson, who was uncooperative and would not follow officers’ commands upon arrival.

Further investigation revealed Jackson was in possession of two dangerous folding style knives.

Police discovered that Jackson made threats to kill the other individual involved and threatened the victim with the knives.

Jackson attempted to discard the knives while the investigation was ongoing.

Jackson was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters.

He was charged with simple assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, terrorist threats, hindering apprehension and obstructing administration of law.

Jackson was processed and later released on a summons in accordance with New Jersey bail reform.

Lieutenant Iain James assisted on scene.
