CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, NY — A man was charged with predatory sexual assault against a child following an investigation that began in May.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division identified Devein A. Denson, 24, of Jamestown, as a suspect in alleged sexual abuse.
Investigators determined Denson was incarcerated at the time and interviewed him at a state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision facility.
Authorities say Denson allegedly subjected two juvenile victims under the age of 11 to sexual contact.
Denson was charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, criminal sexual act in the first degree and sexual abuse in the first degree.
On Dec. 16, Denson was transported back to Chautauqua County by state corrections officials and arraigned in the Town of Ellery Court.
Denson will remain in state corrections custody and answer the charges in Chautauqua County Supreme Court at a later date.
