ST. JOHNSBURY, VT — A Huntington man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and excessive speed on Interstate 91 on Dec. 17.
Farid Hamidzadeh, 44, was observed traveling well in excess of the posted speed limit at 7:42 p.m., according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers activated radar and verified the vehicle was traveling 100 mph in a posted 65 mph zone near mile marker 133.
A traffic stop was initiated and the operator was identified as Hamidzadeh.
Investigation revealed that Hamidzadeh had also operated under the influence, police said.
Hamidzadeh was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police barracks for processing.
He was released on a citation.
