TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Toms River man pleaded guilty to distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material on December 16.

Logan Oliveira, 23, of Toms River, entered his guilty pleas before the Honorable Dina M. Vicari, J.S.C., according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.

At sentencing on February 20, 2026, the state will seek a five-year term in New Jersey State Prison with a five-year period of parole ineligibility for the distribution charge and five years in state prison for the possession charge.

The sentences are to run concurrently.

Oliveira will also be subject to parole supervision for life and will be required to register as a Megan’s Law offender.

The investigation began with a referral from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The task force received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual was uploading and distributing images of child pornography to the internet across various platforms.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad identified a cell phone number associated with a Toms River residence as the location from which the images were being uploaded and distributed.

That individual was identified as Oliveira.

The investigation revealed that Oliveira communicated with another cell phone number belonging to Julianna Goldstein, 20, of Berkeley Township.

A review of messages between Oliveira and Goldstein revealed that Goldstein was sending nude photos of juveniles to Oliveira.

Investigators also learned that Oliveira instructed Goldstein to touch a juvenile in an inappropriate manner and send photos of the inappropriate touching to him.

On April 29, detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant on Oliveira’s residence in Toms River.

An initial forensic examination of Oliveira’s electronic devices led to the discovery of several items of child pornography.

Oliveira was taken into custody at the residence without incident and transported to the Ocean County Jail.

Although originally released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform, Oliveira has been lodged in the Ocean County Jail since June 12 for violating the terms of his release.

On the same date, detectives executed court-authorized search warrants on Goldstein’s residence in Berkeley Township.

An initial forensic examination of Goldstein’s electronic devices led to the discovery of several items of child pornography.

Goldstein was taken into custody at the residence without incident.

Goldstein was charged with distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography, manufacturing child pornography, conspiracy to manufacture child pornography and criminal sexual contact.

She was transported to the Ocean County Jail and subsequently released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.

The charges against Goldstein remain pending.
