MANCHESTER, VT — Police arrested a man on multiple charges after responding to a trespassing complaint at a hotel Sunday evening.
Manchester Police Department officers were called to the Equinox Hotel on Main Street at approximately 7:27 p.m. on Dec. 14.
Alonzo Smith, 22, of Manchester, had previously been issued a notice of no trespass for the establishment, according to police.
Smith was located a short time later by officers.
During the investigation, police learned Smith was attempting to obtain keys for a vehicle owned by the Equinox.
Police also discovered Smith had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear for a court date on a charge of operating without owner’s consent out of Addison County.
Smith was taken into custody and lodged at Marble Valley Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail.
He faces charges of attempted grand larceny, burglary and unlawful trespass, in addition to the arrest warrant.
