Woman arrested after foot chase in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman facing domestic charges was arrested after fleeing from police and hiding alongside a building.

Officers attempted to locate Madalynn Donato around 5 p.m. Monday on the city’s north side.

Police said Donato had made multiple physical threats toward a victim by phone and physically struck the victim several times.

When Donato saw officers, she ran from them, according to police.

After a short foot pursuit, officers found Donato hiding on the side of a building.

Police said Donato fought with officers before being taken into custody.

She was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment.

Donato was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment, second-degree harassment and resisting arrest.
