VALATIE, NY — A registered nurse was arrested Nov. 19 and charged with stealing narcotic medications from a rehabilitation and nursing facility where she worked.
Kristin Jubic, 44, of Albany, was charged with falsifying business records in the first degree, a class E felony, petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, and fraud and deceit related to controlled substances, a class A misdemeanor.
State Police from the Kinderhook barracks responded Oct. 27 to The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Barnwell, located at 3230 Church Street, for a report of missing narcotic medications.
Troopers from the Kinderhook barracks and the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the Livingston barracks conducted a joint investigation with the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement.
The investigation determined that Jubic, who was employed at the facility, had unlawfully taken possession of controlled substances while working at Barnwell.
Jubic was processed and issued an appearance ticket returnable to Kinderhook Town Court on Dec. 16 at 5 p.m.
