JAMESTOWN, NY — Two Jamestown residents were arrested after a traffic stop revealed a loaded handgun in their vehicle.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at the intersection of W. 8th St. and N. Main St. at approximately 8:47 p.m. on Nov. 23.
During the investigation, police discovered the driver, Destiny C. Sanneman-Butler, 25, of Jamestown, and the passenger, Mandy M. Hepler-Brady, 48, of Jamestown, were in possession of a loaded handgun.
Both women were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Hepler-Brady and Sanneman-Butler are each being charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.
Both are being held in the Jamestown City Jail pending their arraignment.
