IRASBURG — A woman was transported to North Country Hospital Friday afternoon after her vehicle collided head-on with a garbage truck on Vermont Route 14 in Irasburg.
Irasburg Fire Department was dispatched at 12:23 p.m. to the crash near the intersection of Vermont Route 14 and Route 58.
A Mr. Bult’s Inc. tractor-trailer unit hauling garbage collided with a red Jeep Patriot, causing significant front-end damage to the Jeep.
Irasburg Fire Department responded with two trucks. The female operator of the Jeep was transported to North Country Hospital by Orleans Ambulance Service.
The Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles Enforcement & Safety Division assisted Vermont State Police on scene.
The Jeep was towed from the scene, and fire officials cleared at approximately 1:15 p.m.
