NEWTOWN, CT — A pedestrian was killed in a crash on Hawleyville Road this evening, according to the Newtown Police Department.
The crash occurred near the Exit 9 westbound off-ramp at approximately 6:15 p.m.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in the investigation.
Authorities are seeking witnesses who may have seen a commercial vehicle parked on the side of the roadway in front of the Papa Al’s shopping center during that time.
